Flexible Spending Account Administration

IRC Section125 allows your company to take advantage of both Health and Dependent Care reimbursement accounts as well as Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA) and Mass Transit Accounts. Tri-Star provides administrative services for these accounts as part of the on-going management of a full flexible benefit plan or as a "stand alone” service. Claims are processed according to the plan with a flexible pay schedule that is defined by your needs. Our enhanced Claims Center allows employees to conveniently view their spending accounts online and receive reimbursement via direct deposit or mail. We also offer the convenience of a Debit Card so you can easily access the money in your flex account.

New Health Reimbursement Arrangements

In response to employer demands for new ways to control growing medical plan costs, on June 26. 2002,the IRS issued guidance on defined contribution health care accounts. New Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) must be entirely employer funded, pay only for substantiated medical expenses and provide for the carryover of unused amounts to future years. Tri-Star can help you design and administer this new benefit. Tri-Star maintains payroll interfaces with ADP, PeopleSoft, Ceridian and many other payroll systems and customizes the process to meet your needs.

Monthly premium calculations are based on rate tables and benefit formulas you quantify. Tri-Star prepares remittance advices with information requested by each vendor. We can even print the checks.
